Responsibilities:

• Perform repetitive to frequent tasks using standard procedures and various conventional and/or manual machine tools.
• May work from engineering drawings and/or specifications.
• Will be required to comply with documentation and/or record-keeping procedures.
• Use precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet engineering specifications.
• Perform minor offset adjustments to keep components within engineering specifications.
• Train others on operational and/or documentation procedures.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness and ability to work extended workweek including weekends.
• Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• The ability to work with and machine small component parts.
• Must have good visual acuity and demonstrate fine motor skills/ability.
• Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, etc.).
• Must be able to follow and explain detailed instructions and inspection procedures.
• Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately.
• Ability to analyze and correct routine to frequent issues using independent judgment.
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate math skills.
• Demonstrated machining and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to operate small hand tools (e.g. pliers, screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches, etc.), power tools and, common measuring equipment.
• 1-3 years related machining experience.
• Basic understanding of machining practices.
• Intermediate understanding of control operation.
• Basic CIM and networking skills.
• Preferred beginner machine language.
