Job Description:

• Work areas: In locked down units, housing units both dorm and cells, Correctional Treatment Center (inpatient) and other outlying areas within our perimeter.
• Brief summary of duties: All healthcare staff will provide Covid-19 testing, screenings and rounding. They will need to do vital signs, document data gathering and work accordingly with healthcare staff, custody and inmates. Perform essential nursing services such as outpatient primary care and medication distribution. Be able and capable to provide inpatient services to include but not limited to primary care, medication administration, mental health observation, safety checks and one to one suicide watch. They must also know the chain of command and when to notify staff of aberrant vital signs and/or pt. deteriorating conditions. Must be willing to provide CPR and first aid when required. Capable to wearing PPE appropriately. The RN will document evaluations/assessments and may also be requested to make a patient plan, implement interventions, reassess patient's condition and provide education.
