We are currently seeking a driven full-time Legal Assistant to support partner level attorneys. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter that is detail orientated and able to work independently.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare/Draft correspondence, memoranda and other legal documents
  • Handle filing of all documents Federal, State, Appeals and E-Filing
  • Prepare discovery and pleading shells and assist with document production
  • Handle docketing of court scheduling orders, briefing schedules and other court mandated conferences, dates and other litigation requirements
  • Assist with trial preparation, including trial and exhibit binders
  • Maintain electronic client files
  • Review, edit and finalize attorney time entries
  • Provide general legal administrative support, including calendar management, scheduling and arranging attorney and client meetings, conferences and depositions, responding to and handling routine correspondence and making reservations/appointments
  • Provide quality, responsive customer service to clients, attorneys and co-workers
  • Organize and prioritize work and follow through with assignments to completion

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Strong technological skills, including proficiency with computer software and ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Must be familiar with all Federal, State and E-Filing rules
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to proofread documents for grammatical, typographical or spelling errors
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
