Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Facility: Lake Taylor Hospital

Location: Norfolk, VA 23502

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Start Date: 06/23/2026

End Date: 09/19/2026

Shift: Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

Meal Break: 30 Minutes

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week

Pay rate:50-54/hr

Responsibilities

Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and breathing treatments.
Operate and monitor ventilators and other respiratory care equipment.
Perform diagnostic procedures and respiratory assessments.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to develop treatment plans.
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide critical care support when needed.

Requirements

Active Respiratory Therapist License (State of Virginia or Compact Eligibility if applicable).
Current BLS Certification required.
ACLS preferred.
Minimum 1 year of recent Respiratory Therapy experience.
Hospital or Acute Care experience preferred.
Strong communication and patient care skills.
