Job Summary:

Drill Cool Systems is looking for a service technician to perform work in our operations in Bakersfield California, Lufkin Texas, and Shreveport Louisiana. Physical labor is required, must be mechanically inclined and must have electrical background along with rig (drilling) experience. To be successful in this position, the service technician must communicate thoroughly and honestly with our team and our customers.
Reports to / Supervision Received:
• Direct Supervisor – Global Fleet Manager
• Indirect Reporting Relationship – Head of Operations


Essential Functions:
• Be available to answer service calls and service equipment on an as-need basis
• Proficient communication and documentation of field conditions and service events to the Global Fleet Manager and Head of Operations. This task will require extensive use of Outlook, Excel, Calendars, OneDrive and smart phones.
• Be able to perform manual labor for a 12-hour shift
• Willing to learn basic concepts of mud cooling and operating procedures
• Have hands-on experience working on drilling rigs (bonus)
• Be thoroughly familiar with oilfield and electrical safety
• Be proactive and thorough in all job-related task
• Willing to travel and work weekends
• Eligible to travel to Canada on an irregular basis
• Experience with servicing refrigeration equipment or electrical systems will be considered an advantage when applying for this position
• Ability to work with both 120Vac and 480Vac systems

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required – high school diploma
• University Level education will be considered as an advantage over other candidates
• Working knowledge of the Office 365 Suite, computers, and smart phones
• 2 - 5 years of oilfield experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Rig (drilling) experience and electrical experience a MUST!
