Role: Test engineer (UAT) cation: Chicago, Il Duration: Long term contract Year of experience: 9+ year Job description: - Identify a proper strategy for defect management during UAT
- Train users on JIRA to log a defect, assign, attaching screenshots, retesting, and updating the status.
- Ensure proper communication between defect reporter and assignee who is fixing the defect.
- Create epics, filters, sprints for UAT to effectively run defect triage calls
- Map the defects to the scenarios in execution for proper readability and status for resolution
- Track the ETA's for defects and follow-up with assignee/reporter till defect closure
- Create a dashboard showing the status of defects
- Manage Defect resolution and progress of the testing cycle.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on duplicate defects within different projects
- Also, manage regression scenarios execution during UAT
