Provides direct patient care in the medical-surgical setting. Communicates with physicians, Nursing Director, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptoms. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Directs patient care activities of ancillary staff; responsible for total care of the medical-surgical patient as assigned by carrying out of Physician orders.
