Position Business Analyst with Salesforce

Location Cambridge, MA will be remote to start until they are back in the office, some remote flexibility

Duration 6+Month

Job Description

Other information:

Need to able to come in the office when the open back up (as of now they do not have any plans to open up soon, most likely next year) there is some remote flexibility for 1-2 days a week

Must have salesforce CPQ

They really need someone who is able drive the process, ask question, and sell to internal stakeholders. They were working on a similar project last year that didn't go well and she needs to make sure this project is successful. They cannot be soft spoken or "shy". They need to be "aggressive" in their approach and be able to drive the process and ask the right questions.

Project: Project was kicked off in March. They have a very aggressive timeline for the project want everything done by January 2022. They are implementing a new instance of Salesforce but additionally they need to fix their information flow as they have customized Salesforce too much that it is painful to make changes. So this is really a Business Process project rather than a typical Salesforce implementation. They will be working with about 50 people from various business units, heavily with EA team and Sales Ops teams. These roles will be looking at the Business Processes/information flow within new Salesforce instance. I have put the full job description below.

Day to Day:

Will change over the course of the project but will start meeting people most of the time lots of Zoom calls (video must be on), gathering requirements through Jira, then will lead into more focus on requirement and processes documentation

They do not email often communication it is almost always over Zoom calls, so this person must be comfortable being on Zoom/camera

There will be a lot of interfacing with multiple groups marketing, sales, finance, engineering and this person needs to have experience working with teams outside of engineering.

Must Haves:

Needs to be Senior resource who can come in with fresh set of eyes, bring expertise, be proactive, and able to navigate organization

Able to look at Business Processes and help with information flow through Salesforce

Implementing a new salesforce instance from beginning to end (more than one implementation helps)

Lead to cash specifically CPQ (configure, price, quote)

Zuora

Marketo

Needs to has strong documentation experience and excellent communication skills

Lighting

Strong/aggressive communication style

Important Skills

Technical Salesforce Implementation, Business Processes, Marketo, Zuora, CPQ

Soft communication has an "aggressive" communication style, can get things done and push the process

Interview Process: 2 rounds Zoom Interview with Karen then Zoom Panel Interview with 3-4 others (Architect, Stakeholders depends on who is available at the time)

Project Details: CarGurus implemented Salesforce years ago and have been heavily customizing it for years. Since implementing SF, the SF product has significantly upgraded. CarGurus has decided to "rip out" the existing SF app and replace it with the newest version of SF (which will also need some customization). Essentially we will be borrowing some parts of the old SF app, installing new parts and building other functionality they need for their specific business from scratch.

The Role: Senior BSAN to execute a Lead to Cash implementation on BA Salesforce CPQ within a 6-month contract

Job Responsibilities

Gathering requirements

Leading information gathering workshops with large stakeholder groups across many business units

Analyze and document end to end flow of current state processes

Analyze and document technical implementations

Leverage industry best practices

Analyze document and efficiently communicate areas of opportunity in the process

Recommend propose and document end to end flow of future state requirements

Compile and reconcile stakeholder feedback on current and future state proposals

Analyze document and efficiently communicate risks throughout the process

Writing user stories

Including desired business value, acceptance criteria, test criteria, and technical support information

Partner with Salesforce development team to present proof of concept and development demos to stakeholders

Attributes

5+ years of BSAN experience with 2+ yrs experience working with Salesforce

Self-starters, proactive

Independent, able to own and drive their assignments and help LEAD the initiative

Active listener

Effective communicator

Comfortable asking questions to understand

Experience with
