Business Analyst with SLATE CRM Experience

  • Full-time, Direct-hire, Remote Position.
  • Experience working in a university is a must
  • No C2C Candidates, please.
The Business Analyst will work collaboratively with academic departments, services offices, colleges, and other university units to effectively assess business processes and system needs. This individual is responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the division's business solutions that lie within the Student Information System, Document management system, CRM, and other division technology.
This individual will be responsible for the implementation of SLATE for the entire student life cycle in the university environment. This will involve the following tasks: gathering requirements, developing and writing functional specifications, implementation of solutions; partner closely with AES on redeveloping system functionality; facilitation of clear communication and shared expectations around system development; facilitate testing and training of new functionality.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • 5 to 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst
  • Experience working in a university or higher education institute
  • Hands-on experience with SLATE CRM
  • Knowledge of student information systems (SIS) such as Banner, Peoplesoft Campus Solutions etc.
  • Strong writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to perform functional testing, knowledge of JIRA desired
  • Exceptional communication skills

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
  • The Business Analysts partners with business analysts across the university to identify and propose improvements to processes and systems to improve the quality of services offered to students, faculty and staff. The Analyst will be expected to have a in-depth knowledge of all business processes related to academic systems, and be able to identify opportunities for improvement. The individual will also be expected to manage the process of implementing improvements from initial specifications, collaboration with AES and other third party vendors, development and execution of project plans, communication, testing, and training. (40%)
  • The Business Analyst is expected to obtain and maintain a high level of functional expertise in the systems utilized by the university. And to have the ability to identify opportunities for technical improvements. (30%)
  • The Business Analyst will be responsible for coordinating projects including the development of functional documentation, review of technical documentation, solution testing, solution troubleshooting, and training of business owners on system solutions. (30%)
