Must have Apptio and understand the Cost Transparency Module and understand Finance. If they knew anything about SN and CMDB is a plus.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Create and maintain the Technology Business Management (TBM) cost model with all underlying relationships, allocations, and assumptions, and create the underlying data dictionary. Serves as an IT Financial Management (ITFM) function expert to provide guidance to IT teams on TBM cost model and Apptio system adoption. Duties may include:

• Serve as a functional subject matter analyst for ITFM (understanding data structures and taxonomies, various cost pools, allocation logic, and business rules)
• Gather functional and business requirements and rapidly translate that information into a working set of operational and financial models, dashboards, and management reports (leveraging ITFM and other reporting tools)
• Conduct analysis on spend and identify optimization opportunities
• Support various projects sponsored by technology leadership
• Establish technology financial management principles and partner with technology learning and development to build out relevant curriculums
• Support product roadmap for evolving ITFM maturity
• Implement and continuously improve framework, model, taxonomy and metrics through industry best practices, current trends and lessons learned
• Support implementation of expanded capabilities for ITFM
• Functional administration of ITFM tools
• Import, transform, and rationalize data from systems of record such as General Ledger, Fixed Assets, ServiceNow CMDB, Centralized Application Repository, Asset Manager, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge / Experience in using Apptio.
• Knowledge / in accounting and expense management processes
• Related professional or technology certification/designation.
• Strong ITIL or Service Management background
• Certified in Technology Business Management

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Operations Research, Information Technology or related field.

Experience:

• Experience in financial management concepts and processes including budgeting planning; cost allocations; capital and operating expense handling
• Experience in process management and leading teams (direct, indirect, and consultants)

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of IT services and financial management processes and best practices such as budgeting, cost allocations, capital & operating expense handling, program portfolio management, and application/infrastructure support
• Understands the principles of Technology Business Management framework and IT Financial Management
• Communication skills / Ability to communicate at executive level
• Advanced analytical skills and fundamental report development skills
