Commodity Solutions Sales & Operations Associate
Purpose of the Role
This role will assist the Commodity Sales team in Chicago. This role will allow the candidate to be exposed to a wide range of Commodity markets (Agriculture, Livestock Dairy, and Energy) and will be involved in the entire lifecycle of risk management using over-the-counter structured products. The Associate will assist in account marketing, onboarding, pricing, execution, and post trade services.
Accountability
Assist the Over-The-Counter (OTC) Sales team on new client pitches and onboarding processes; support senior sales team members to provide quotes to clients.
Complete daily pricing runs and assist with trade idea generation.
Manage all operations aspects of client post trade services in partnership with the Operations team and traders in London.
Complete ad-hoc business management requests such as month-end reports for customers and brokers.
Automate and/or drive improvements for existing manual processes, such as manual price-up structures/Excel pricing
Assist with Commodity Solutions trade execution, provided necessary regulation requirements are met (Series 3)
Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in comp. programming, finance, or another relevant field 1-3 years of experience in the industry and/or similar role |
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; excellent PowerPoint skills and expertise in Excel (IE: strong understanding of basic Macros, VBA)
High attention to detail
Solid knowledge of Financial Derivatives is a preferred, including Exotics/OTC Eye for process improvement Ability to multi-task and manage multiple competing priorities Excellent communication skills |
