12 private rooms within the same unit

We use Philips bedside monitors. There is a non-monitored central station on the nurse s station and several monitors on either side of the unit to watch rhythms. We do not have monitor techs. The nurse s on this unit are responsible for titrating all drips (vasopressors, sedation, analgesia, cardiac drips).

Drips: Vasopressors, sedation, anticoagulants, insulin, analgesia. All titratable.

Vents: We use ventilators on this unit. We also have Bipap and HiFlow as well.

We use Kronos for self-scheduling. The nurse will be assigned to either group A or B to determine sign up dates.

Floating: May be required to float to the Intermediate Care Unit. We do not typically float to other units. If there is a dire need, the nurse will be a resource to that unit with the expectation they can return to the ICU if the need arises.

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: We accept patients 15 years of age and older. We are a general ICU that accepts all medical/surgical/cardiac/trauma. We have recently started a neurosurgical program. We see many different diagnoses, such as STEMIs, cardiac arrest, CVA with TPA, renal failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, GI bleeding, substance abuse and withdrawal, overdoses

Additional Notes Must have at least 2 years of ICU experience, and be able to care for multiple different diagnoses.r Solid white (Jackets Solid Navy Blue or Solid white)
