SUMMARY: Nursing Services at Landmann-Jungman Memorial Hospital requires all nurses to practice at a competent level of nursing care and demonstrate a competent and professional level of behavior in her/his role as an RN. The Staff RN is responsible for utilizing the Nursing Process to provide nursing care for the patient. He/She assumes responsibility and accountability for her/his individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered on his/her shift.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university school of nursing preferred. 1 year of acute care experience required. ER experience preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required. CPR completion required. BLS, ACLS required at hire. PALS, TNCC, ENPC required within 6 months of hire. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and interpret various laboratory testing results. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several variables. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism. RESPONSIBILITIES and EXPECTATIONS: Maintains confidentiality when dealing with all customers. Must utilize effective problem solving skills as appropriate.
