Job Description
  • As a UX Design Lead on Mobile Apps you will manage and support mobile application development and serve on the Mobile squad. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong UX background and is a strategic thinker with some offshore people management experience. This person will manage other designers and will be leading green field development of a Mobile app for Restaurant domain, with the goal and responsibility to produce exceptional client and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with client staff, product managers and engineers
  • Lead and mentor offshore team members on UX and visualization topics
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
  • Design graphic user interface elements such as menus, tabs and widgets for Mobile and Desktop
  • Advocating for the customer through human-centered design methods, including discovery, research, whiteboard sessions, and user testing
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how app functions and looks like
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Adhere to style guide on fonts, colors and images
  • Keeping up to date on industry best practices, design and standards for mobile apps
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of professional experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
  • Ability to showcase portfolio of design projects, preferably on Mobile Apps
  • Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Invision)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong preference to experience in Food, Restaurant, Retail or eCommerce
  • 5+ years of work experience with Mobile Applications Native and/or Hybrid. SME on enterprise grade mobile applications
  • 5 years of experience in iterative methodologies such as Agile Scrum and Kanban as well as in collaboration tools such as JIRA & Confluence
  • Experience working in an onsite offshore model
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to communicate business insights based on analysis
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to effectively collaborate with both business and technical teams
  • Demonstrated high degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities

  • Experience driving end-to-end product design by:
  • Working with researchers to understand customer needs and define opportunities through usability and empathy studies and analyzing data trends
  • Framing problems, defining insights, and designing new methodologies/practices to serve customer needs
  • Creating process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and interaction models, resulting in low to high fidelity prototypes
  • Planning and facilitating workshops with internal and external stakeholders to align with business needs
  • Designing within existing - and creating new - standards to contribute to our internal design system, best practices, and guidelines
  • Storytelling through business acumen and presenting visual concepts to various stakeholders
  • Creating high fidelity design assets for acceptance, development, and delivery to market in partnership with technology colleagues
