Specializing in collection, treatment, and disposal of all hazardous waste on-site.
The candidates would preferably have prior experience with hazardous materials management.
Responsibilities
- Follow established SOPs
- Material transfers between different internal laboratories
- Material pickup/dropoff to external customers
- Hazardous waste consolidation
- Hazardous waste packing
- Hazardous waste neutralization/disposal
- Hazardous waste inventory tracking
- Scheduling of hazardous waste pickup by third party supplier
- Responsible for signing hazardous waste manifests
- Responsible for weekly hazardous waste inspections
- Responsible for the documentation of quality control standards
- Responsible for maintaining Safety Data Sheets
- Responsible for compliance with 5S
- Meets and exceeds all company safety procedures and standards
Requirements
- HS Diploma with 1-2 years industrial laboratory experience OR
- Associate Degree in Chemistry or Similar Science with 0 years experience
- Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture and a safe working environment in the laboratory.
- Good organization skills
- Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills
- Ability to operate and maintain assigned equipment
- Ability to work under time pressure
- Must have initiative and be self-motivated
- Ability to change plans on short notice and work with a flexible schedule
- Must be able to lift heavy loads
Preferred
- 1+ years of industrial laboratory experience
- California RCRA Certification
- DOT (49 CFR) Certification
