We are located one mile north of the Missouri River which offers excellent walleye fishing year-round and summer boating and jet skiing fun. This is also an outstanding location for deer and bird hunting. Williston, ND, and Sidney, MT, are a short drive for movies, bowling, and Walmart. Minot, ND, or Billings, MT, are weekend outings for mall shopping and larger entertainment. Downhill skiing is not out the back door, but, again, any of Montana's ski resorts are a great getaway for a long weekend. Roosevelt Medical Center is a small facility in need of a doctor with an interest in caring for patients in our rural health clinic, a 25-bed critical access hospital with long-term care, and a 24-hour ER. We do not provide surgical or obstetrical services. This is a great opportunity for the doctor who likes autonomy and the chance to maximize his/her skills and knowledge in primary care. This job is also for the doctor who wants to develop long-term relationships with patients and provide care for an individual across the continuum from infancy through old age. For these services, we will pay a competitive salary with benefits. The physician will work with and supervise Physician's Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioners. Providers see between 10 and 20 patients per day in the Rural Health Clinic. The average daily CAH inpatient census is 1. Long term care census is 23-24. The emergency room visits average 40-50 per month so while on call, providers are not onsite, but must be available to respond within 30 minutes. Physician shares call with the PAs/NPs 1-2 weeknights, holidays, and 1:3 weekends. The physician serves as Medical Director, but with an active medical staff of 5, the administrative duties are not burdensome. Physician interacts with facility quality activities.Full-service lab with blood banking and some bacteriology. Radiology services include basic x-ray and Toshiba CT with off-site radiologist over-read. State-designated trauma receiving facility.This position could be right for a physician wanting to maintain a full-time practice but at a slower and much more personal pace. Shift: Full-time: 4 days per week, 8-5 in Rural Health Clinic; 1-2 weeknights on call for CAH patients and ER; 1:3 on-call weekends; 1-2 holidays/yr. Part-time negotiable.
