JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Under the direction of the Director of Operative Services, is responsible for the delivery of patient care within the preop and postop area according to the philosophy and objectives of this institution. Will assist in PACU if additional staff is needed.
Direct and indirect patient care
Assists in providing optimum assurance of safe environment
Assists in control and maintenance of drugs, supplies and equipment
Assists in administrative duties as directed by OR Director and Manager
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota.
A minimum of 1 year experience in hospital nursing is preferred.
Participates in educational conferences, and updates and maintains current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibilities.
Certification according to American Heart Association Standards in BLS, ACLS and PALS is required within 6 months of employment.
Shift Details Rotating hours 0530-1400, 0600-1430, 0730-1600, 0800-1630. Call is every 9th weekend and if you don't have a weekend for the month it is typically 1 day per week (total of 3-4 days of call for the month). Call starts at 1600 till the following morning at 0730, unless it is the weekend then it is Friday at 1600 till the following Monday at 0730.
