Job description CNC Machining Center Programmers
Title: CNC Programmer
Onsite Location: Getzville, NY 14068, United States
Duration: 12 months
Education: Diploma or Graduate in Mechanical / Production Engineering
Experience: 4-8 years in Manufacturing/Production industries with CNC Programming Knowledge.
Domain: Industrial, Aerospace, Automotive.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Should be responsible for CNC Programming of Mechanical products at component/subsystem/system level in industrial domain.
- Calculate and write programs for CNC work centers to fabricate component parts to stated engineering specifications.
- Works independently to troubleshoot and resolve problems concerning machining operations, tools, materials, and CNC programs ability to read and interpret design blueprints
- Exposure in machine cutting paths, and performing quality checks on the final product
- Perform detailed analysis of the component parts configuration/dimensions to determine the most efficient machining operations required for production Interact with cross functional teams for technical discussions.
- Broad knowledge of machining techniques to perform advanced setup operations
Knowledge and Skills required:
- Working experience in manufacturing industry
- Exposure to Manufacturing practices, specific to Machining, Sheet Metal, Fabrication, Castings, Forgings & Plastic commodities are an added advantage
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge over GD&T standards is must
- Capable of programming optimized settings for manufacturing process for respective products.
- Good knowledge in process parameters for various products.
- Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications
- Capable of calculating the optimized process cycle times
- Should be conversant with 3D modeling and programming tools like UG / Pro E / Solid works /Catia /Mastercam /DelCAM etc.
- Fluent in oral and written communications.
