Job Title: Emergency Department Director
Job Summary: FAR GROUP purpose of this contract is to acquire Emergency Department Director for Indian Health Service.
Location of work:
Rosebud Hospital (RBH), Rosebud, SD
Qualifications
ABEM/AOBEM certified physician. A minimum of 3 years of Emergency Medicine administrative experience is required. Emergency Department experience within the last 24 months of hire. Shall also have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the management of pediatric and obstetric patients, including obstetrical emergencies, such as precipitous deliveries.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field.
Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field preferred.
Experience:
At least 5-10 years of experience in emergency department management or related healthcare management role.
Experience in budget management, staff supervision, and strategic planning.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
Current and active RN or MD license.
Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) or Emergency Medical Services (CEMS) preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications may be required depending on the specific job and department.
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Understanding of healthcare finance and budgeting.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare technology.
