Role: Linux Systems Admin Location: (New York, New York) Remote Duration: 12+ Months Interview: Phone + Skype Job Description: TASKS: Maintain and administer Unix/Linux servers supporting the infrastructure of critical citywide services. Ensuring risk and vulnerability mitigation via automated patch management. Function as technical representative for the group and work with various teams. Work independently and prioritize tasks to meet monthly patching expectations. MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered Experience in RedHat Enterprise Linux OS administration (6.x and above). Experience in Oracle Solaris OS administration (10.x and above). Perform OS upgrades and patch installations. DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Experience in Ansible Automation Platform. Experience in SE Linux functionality. Knowledge of Server virtualization and VMware VM. Knowledge of VMware administration and support experience. Knowledge of VMware vSphere (ESX and ESXi), vCenter Operations Manager. Experience with tools such as Science Logic and Service Now a plus.
