Essential functions:

  • Support Engineering with CMM Programming (or equivalent) and assist with training other employees on the proper techniques and use of CMM
  • Maintain instrument calibration system (Gagetrack), documents and procedures
  • Conduct evaluations and complete documentation of returned product for timely disposition
  • Preform product inspections and testing to meet customer and RBS quality specifications
  • Generate quality documents including, but not limited to: inspection reports, certification of conformance, material certification packets for customers, etc.
  • Prepare mounts for metallurgical inspection of heat-treated products
  • Support scrap/re-work process for discrepant products
  • Conduct Gauge Repeatability studies
  • Record inspection operations into ERP system
  • Support ISO Quality System requirements and conduct process audits
  • Assist Quality Manager with the Corrective Action Process
  • Move parts to the next operation with cart or Forklift Truck

Qualifications required:
Education:

  • Associate Degree and/or training with equivalent work experience in a technical field required


Experience:

  • 4-5 years' experience in quality control in a manufacturing, ISO certified environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing metrology/inspection tools; experience with calibration systems required
  • 4-5 years of CMM operation
  • Programming experience of CMM preferred

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge in the operation of Coordinating Measuring Machine (CMM) devices
  • Proficient in the use of Optical Comparators and other tools and inspection equipment
  • Maintenance of a Gage Calibration system
  • Focused on quality
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player
  • Ability to interpret blueprints with a strong knowledge of GD&T principles and inspection methods.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
  • Must be proficient in the use of all metrological inspection tools.
  • Strong computer skills using Excel and MS Word
