Microstrategy Developer Location: US-TX-Dallas Email this job to a friend

Key Responsibilities: Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions using MicroStrategy. Design and develop MicroStrategy projects, including schema objects, public objects, reports, and dashboards. Collaborate with data engineers to ensure proper data integration, data quality, and performance optimization. Perform advanced data modeling, including multi-source data integration, snowflake, and star schema designs. Develop and implement effective security strategies to protect sensitive data and maintain user access controls. Optimize report and dashboard performance through the application of best practices in report design, caching, and aggregation. Provide technical guidance and support to end users, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the MicroStrategy platform. Mentor and train team members on MicroStrategy best practices and techniques. Keep abreast of the latest MicroStrategy features, trends, and industry best practices to ensure the organization's BI solutions remain cutting-edge. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in MicroStrategy development, including schema and public object creation, report and dashboard development, and performance tuning. Expertise in MicroStrategy architecture, administration, and security. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including ETL processes, data modeling, and relational database design. Proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one major database platform (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Experience with data visualization tools and techniques is a plus. MicroStrategy certifications are a plus but not required.
