University of Wisconsin System Administration is looking for a Systems Architect- I

H1b Accepted... only c2c no Visa transfers.

H4 EAD's or L2 EAD's OFF shore experience works. US experience not mandatory

Major Responsibilities:

  • Serve as expert point of contact for stakeholders and IT partners regarding system integrations, identifies needs, provides solution options, and communicates issue updates and resolutions
  • Participate and represent the Client & Application Services team and business units in discussions regarding data source changes in scope as part of the Administrative Transformation Program (ATP)
  • Participate and represent the Client & Application Services team and business units in ATP meetings regarding UWSA Ancillary Systems, analyzing all internal process flows and downstream dependencies
  • Reverse engineer all internally supported UWSA applications and data systems serving our UWSA/UWS customers - diagram and document all applications and data systems initially focusing on ATP changes
  • Per ancillary system, develop a detailed plan (work breakdown structure, timeline, including resource estimates) to meet overall system change(s)
  • Follow requirements, design, develop, test and deliver applications and services
  • Knowledge and experience leveraging data and API's from data lake and use ETL processes or SQL to retrieve these data and integrate into ancillary systems
  • Collaborate with other functional and technical staff in the development of new business processes using (API's, SQL, PL/SQL, Informatica, Tableau, etc.) to transform legacy systems into future solutions
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Additional Details:

    • The Systems Architect I will help reverse engineer all internally supported UWSA applications and data systems serving our UWSA/UWS customers, diagram and document all applications and data systems. They will collaborate with other functional and technical staff in the development of new business processes using (API's, SQL, PL/SQL, Informatica, Tableau, etc.) to transform legacy systems into future solutions. We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience leveraging data and API's from data lake and use ETL processes or SQL to retrieve these data and integrate into ancillary systems.

    • Ability to analyze requirements, design, develop, test, and deliver applications and services

    • Experience and knowledge of ITIL framework

    • Ability to work well with diverse people and groups with different levels of technical ability
    • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with individuals at all organizational levels
    • Ability to prioritize work and deliver services and solutions on time with attention to detail
    • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation

    • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to see multiple perspectives to meet our customer needs

    Top Skills & Years of Experience:

    • 5+ years' experience Data Analyst / Systems Analyst
    • 5+ years' experience in data architecture using tools such as ER/Studio
    • 5+ years' experience in database system analysis (Oracle, AWS Redshift) using tools such as SQL Developer
    • 5+ years' experience in application development, modernizing legacy applications and data system technologies
    • Demonstrated ability to perform major responsibilities of the position

    Nice to Have:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Project Management Experience
    • Experience in a higher education environment
    • Experience modernizing legacy applications and data system technologies
    • Experience performing data integration, transformation and producing data/system visualizations -i.e. Tableau
    • Big data pipeline, ETL process experience -i.e., Informatica IICS
    • Experience migrating legacy applications and data systems to new environments
    • 1+ years' experience within Workday Enterprise Management Cloud

    Interview Process:

    • Microsoft Teams interviews- 45 minutes (30-minute interview and 15 minutes for candidate questions)
