JOB SUMMARY:
- Project Manager with BA and SQL knowledge
- AWS, DevOps experience preferred.
Role Overview:
The Senior Analyst Systems Analysis position is responsible for providing systems analysis for systems implementation and software development projects. This position will work with the business to provide business requirement solutions using MAXIMUS requirements development practices. The Analyst will also develop and manage requirements, create user stories or use cases, write and execute test cases, and provide support for system stakeholders as needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead collaboration with business stakeholders to identify and document system level requirements
- Define functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
- Analyze and manage business and systems process flows
- Work comfortably within waterfall or agile project teams to understand how present and future business needs may impact solutions
- Define functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
- Support and contribute to all requirements management best practices and procedures
- Participate in systems testing and UAT activities as needed
- Demonstrate strong people skills to help negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts
- Exhibit strong writing skills to communicate information effectively to multiple levels
- May coordinate activities of other personnel as a team lead
Education/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, computer science, information systems, or related degree programs and minimum 8 years of related experience; or a Master's degree and minimum 6 years of related experience; or a PhD and minimum of 3 years related experience. Work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience with requirements gathering and requirements management
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to extract and analyze data to formulate useable trends and patterns in decision making
Strong analytical skills
Ability to solve problems quickly and accurately
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
Ability to travel 10% on as needed basis
Preferred Experience:
- Strong experience in the Health & Human Services industry
- Knowledge of state government
- Experience using database applications and/or SQL
- Facilitation and leadership skills
- Knowledge of emerging trends in information technology
Preferred Certifications:
- Professional certifications in disciplines such as AWS, DevOps, Agile, Project Management, Change Management, etc. (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, SAFe DevOps, Certified Scrum Master, Project Management Professional, etc.)
