Mandatory Skills:

Good understanding of Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods industry with successful large projects delivered.

Experience working on Product Lifecycle Management initiatives and PLM system implementations, rollouts and enhancements.

Role Description:

As a PM Digital Program Manager, you are responsible for managing and tracking overall schedule, budget, and deliverables quality of a business transformation program, which may consist of multiple projects. You coordinate with senior specialists in Industry, Organization, Technology, Data, and Business domains. You will be responsible for communications and coordination of activities and approvals. You also play a key role in driving change adoption of the business transformation initiatives across several stakeholder groups. Responsibilities will include managing expectations, stakeholder buy-in to key requirements and timing, and responsible for issue resolution. In this capacity, you build strong relationships with client business personnel as you identify issues and drive resolution.

You will be responsible for assisting the onsite program manager tracking tasks, activities and key milestones and corresponding reporting. You will work with the development teams to identify any issues or delays in the program/project timelines.

Formal Certification and Training:

A formal project management credential such as PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) and additional preferred credentials include Agile methodology certifications (such as Scrum Master, Product Owner) are preferred, but not required.

Expected Skills and Capabilities:

  • Good understanding of Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods industry with successful large projects delivered
  • Experience working on Product Lifecycle Management initiatives and PLM system implementations, rollouts and enhancements

  • Good executive presence
  • In depth experience managing larger projects and programs
  • In depth understanding of project terminology and methodology
  • Review statements of work for projects, plan and orchestrate delivery assurance, quality management within Digital Consulting
  • Develop key messages for targeted audiences in support of a communication plan
  • Understand the critical success factors and key milestones in the program and work with project managers to define metrics that drive desired outcomes, gathering business requirements
  • Ability to lead multi-function project team through influencing skills
  • In depth Risk/Issue/Change Management knowledge
  • Experience in managing constrained schedules and resources in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Ability to understand interdependencies and can connect the dots on how one part of a project impacts another
  • Evaluate complex situations accurately and identifies viable solutions that create successful outcomes for the customer. Hosting meetings, taking meeting notes, and documenting action items
  • Ability to organize complex and/or ambiguous information for project sponsor
  • Organizing project goals / objectives into major streams of work with specific deliverables
  • Develop and maintain "lessons-learned" inputs to the project repository for utilization on future programs
  • Work closely with the Program Executive Sponsor, Operating Committee and Steering Committee to facilitate decisions necessary for delivery and to overcome barriers
  • Resolve political, resource, budgeting, change, and legal issues affecting the program.
  • Serves as a mentor/advisor/decision-maker to project managers for the program for issues related to corporate politics, external politics, client relations, governmental regulation, project quality, project risk, and safety.
  • Oversee development of proposals and requests for proposals associated with the program
  • Assist the client with the design and documentation of user acceptance test plans for a low to medium complexity business solution, user acceptance test plans
  • Identify issues and considerations for new functionality provided by the application package.
  • Communicate Digital Consulting delivery assurance policies, procedures, and principles to team members and ensure compliance
  • Ensure/assist the program's leadership team in provides a clear vision, objectives and key results of the program
  • Be aware of and adhere to deliver quality principles and procedures as appropriate for area of responsibility
  • Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing issue resolution process, and taking corrective action, as necessary.
  • Schedule and conduct periodic progress meetings with project management and/or other project participants and business owners.
  • Interact with and manage multiple stakeholders at all levels (leadership to staff) effectively, along with virtual teams
  • Host and facilitate discussions with clients/stakeholders to gather insight for analysis
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams and interact with all levels (horizontal and vertical).
  • Build consensus as the solutions move through various forums to gain approval and acceptance
  • Drive knowledge management within the program
  • Develop key messages for targeted audiences in support of a communication plan
