Position : OCI System Administrator
Location : Jacksonville, FL (Remote)
Duration : 12+ Months Contract
Job Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced OCI System Administrator to manage,monitor and troubleshoot our Oracle Cloud Infrastructure(OCI) environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security and performance of our Cloud-based systems,while working closely with the development and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities :
Install, configure, and maintain OCI compute,storage, and network resources.
Troubleshoot and resolve OCI database - related issues, including OCI Fast Connect Network performance bottlenecks.
Monitor and optimize system performance,ensuring high availability and scalability.
Collaborate with the development team to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements.
Administration and maintenance of object ,nfs and database storage.
Coordinate with 3rd party vendors.
Manage OCI Tenancy setup and compartment design.
Maintain and configure Cloud network design and cloud network (VCN)
Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, system failures, and other errors.
Develop and maintain system documentation,including system architecture diagrams,procedures and policies.
Ensure system security and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Perform system upgrades, security patching, and migration activities as required.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
Provide technical guidance and support to database administrators.
Participate in on call rotation.
Qualifications :
Bachlor's degree in Computer Science,Information Technology,or related field.
5+ years of experience in system administration with at least 2 years of experience in OCI
Experience with OCI compute,storage and network resources.
Familiarity with system monitoring and performance tuning tools,such as Nagios, Zabbix and Prometheus.
Strong knowledge of system backup and recovery methods,including Oracle Cloud Backup service.
Proficiency in scripting languages,such as Bash, Python or Perl.
Knowledge in automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
