Job Description:

The Associate Art Director is responsible for quality of art and design for games and products produced by Warner Bros. Discovery Digital. The Associate Art Director reports to the Game Design Director. This position will be reviewing and directing various aspects of art on multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have skills in multiple art disciplines in both 2D and 3D game development.

Duties

• Work closely with internal creative, design, and production teams to direct mobile, web, and console games from concept to shipping
• Establish guidelines to maintain art style and quality throughout projects
• Communicate with multiple development studios and direct multiple projects simultaneously
• Oversee multiple art disciplines, providing detailed feedback to multiple parties
• Ensure accurate brand representation throughout all products
• Be current on industry trends and technologies to provide insight into current workflows
• Concept and develop key assets for larger titles
• Communicate with IP creators and owners
• Maintains and promotes brand integrity
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Art, Illustration, Graphic Design, Animation or related field required.

• 3-5+ years of professional game development experience
• Have shipped multiple titles as Artist, Lead Artist or similar title
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with multi-disciplinary teams
• Outstanding 2D illustration & animation skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
• Passion for video games
• Experience with Photoshop
• Online portfolio

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working with established IP
• 3D design and animation skills
• Expertise with disciplines such as graphic design & visual FX
• Experience with UI and/or UX
