Primary Responsibilities:
Work as a liaison between AWS Cloud architectural team and application owners. Assist Application owners to design the target AWS architecture using Customer cloud standards, plan the migration and help them approve their design from the architectural review board.
The person should have good understanding of AWS cloud design, available AWS services, application architectures, application platform technologies used in the industry and modern application architecture techniques. He/She should have extensive prior experience of migrating large scale enterprise applications to AWS cloud.
Required Qualifications and experience::
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated experience and knowledge.
- 12 plus year of total IT experience in that 8 plus years of application architecture experience
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Architecting and migrating applications to AWS public cloud
- Solid understanding of AWS security and networking to include routing, switching, firewall, network monitoring and management.
- Solid understanding of Application architectures, modern application designs (Micro services), tools and technology platforms.
Preferred additional qualifications and experience:
- Experience with supporting critical business applications in a large enterprise
- Familiarity with common high-availability and disaster recovery patterns
- AWS Cloud and Enterprise Architecture certifications
