Our client, a leading financial services company is hiring a Market Risk PMO on a long-term contract basis. Work Location: New York, NY Summary: This role is part of the Market Risk PMO organization, and its focus is enabling the company's Market Risk organization to meet strategic objectives across different jurisdictions and regions. This role's aim is to support Market Risk in Project managing / Program managing regulatory obligations and internal initiatives. Key aspect of the role is to drive the projects for Market Risk Trading by scoping, managing, and delivering projects by engaging with relevant Stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Front-office etc. Candidate must have prior background on Investment banking / Trading and excellent communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence and convince others and colleagues in other areas. This role will participate in a Functional PMO role providing Book of Work reporting and oversight to the functional project managers. Work with relevant stakeholders, including local management on requirements by Regulators and Market Risk Managers. Work with the Control and Internal Audit stakeholders to ensure credible challenges are addressed during the project lifecycle. Work on all aspects of Project Management Life Cycle with input from relevant Stakeholders. Ensure all projects follow company standards, governance, and controls for Project Management. Pay range is $72-$92 per hour. Required Skills: 10+ years of working experience in investment banking or consultancy or advisory firm Detailed knowledge and understanding of Project Management principles, frameworks, and requirements. Project management and change capabilities are essential Ability to create relevant project management artifacts such as project plans, requirements documents and status presentations independently Ability to manage small teams i.e., assign tasks, track tasks, and provide escalations for resolution Prior experience with trade life cycle, Market Risk concepts (e.g., sensitivities, VaR, Stress Testing) is a huge plus Persuades and influences others through developed communication and diplomacy skills with colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers Excellent oral and written communications skills Excellent interpersonal skills necessary Self-starting with the ability to multitask and prioritize The post appeared first on .
