Job Title: Financial Business Analyst
Location: Columbus, OH


Duration: 9+ Months Initially with possible chances for extension



Description


CCB Service Product Group (SPG) is responsible for delivering end-to-end service journeys through modernized applications that allow for a seamless customer experience across channels and lines of business. How we deliver is equally as important as what we deliver. The Strategy team within SPG provides support on a variety of initiatives by gathering and analyzing information about modules and workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and executing controls.



Key responsibilities of the Financial Business Analyst role include:



  • Partner with Research and other team members to evaluate financial, customer and employee benefits associated with potential initiatives

  • Work up front to help identify areas with most opportunity to pursue

  • Engage at key points through the Research / Pre-Initiate Lifecycle to bring potential benefits into focus (+/-50% range)

  • Assist with determining if Research / Pre-Initiate projects are worth proceeding at different points in the lifecycle (e.g., 25% complete, 50% complete)

  • Partner with the Service Product Business Case Lead for guidance on standards for business cases and agreement on financial estimates

  • The goal of this role is to demonstrate material financial and non-financial benefits possible for future initiatives

  • Partner with Product Performance, Analytics and Product partners to define high-level potential impacts of Initiatives being evaluated for Pre-Initiate (current state research)

  • Illustrate the value of the impacts which have been identified from both the financial and user & customer experience lenses




Qualifications, Skills and Behaviors of the Successful Candidate:



  • Strong analytical ability

  • 5-10 years of experience, including experience with identifying and refining business case benefits

  • Highly collaborative, working across business and technology teams

  • Business or Finance degree recommended

  • An excellent communicator (written and oral) with ability to fluidly interact with senior leaders, key stakeholders and employees

  • Strategic thinker, willing to challenge accepted practices and pursue 'clean-sheet' reinvention

  • Can operate independently in a complex, fast paced environment

  • Ability to harness data, the power of analytics, and customer insights to create high-level benefit estimates
