Job Summary:

• A client of ours in Morrisville NC - Hybrid is looking for a Windows / ESX Engineering for a Contract opportunity.

Description:

• Windows / ESX Engineering and Operation (EngOps) team has 40+ staff members in all 4 regions globally
• The team with main responsibility for region AMERICA with approx. 10 members is located in 2 cities (New York + Raleigh)
• Main interaction will be with business application support teams around the world, other engineering teams (mainly in same location) and other Windows/ESX Engineering and Operation teams in the other regions (APAC, EMEA, CH)

Key Responsibilities:

• Senior Windows Engineering and Operations (EngOps) Level 2 support role for region AMERICA within infrastructure technology group in Credit Suisse
• Responsible for Windows Server management (incl. Incident-, Problem-, Change-Management) of ~8'000 high available Windows server systems and clusters (Windows Server 2008 - 2022)
• Responsible for support of the virtual Infrastructure, incl. administration and maintenance activities for complex VMware ESX based server cloud
• Root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable solutions together with application support teams and business customers
• Responsible for managing large scale events such as Quarterly Maintenance Windows, Disaster Recovery tests also Major Incident
• Availability for off hour work during major incidents and weekend work during major events

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Powershell/Batch scripting to manage automation
• Proficient in Windows/ESX Server Management, Clustering, Networking technologies
• Outstanding understanding of supporting VMware/Windows tools and Root cause analysis
• Knowledge of Service Now, Splunk or similar data collection tools is preferred

• 8-10 years' experience required

• Education: Bachelors (required)
