Job Title - Pipeline Data Analyst Job Location - 1111 South 103rd St, Omaha, Nebraska, United States of America, 68124 Duration 6 Months Job Description - Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function) Provide pipeline data support for engineering projects or operations problems on or related to pipelines. Typical Duties: Maintain the various records in the pipeline data management system (PDMS) and utilize applications as follows: Facility Explorer - Data Entry Tool (FE-DET), Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure Tool (MAOP Tool). Review project asbuilts and completion packages and extract appurtenant pipeline data for loading of project information / pipeline data to the pipeline data management environment. Coordinate with senior staff members when discrepancies are found in the review of asbuilt drawings/marks. Perform simple calculations and create tabular representations of pipeline projects by using available engineering aids and drawings. Report status of projects to team leader or department manager. Assist senior staff members with the conducting of historical research. Assist in meeting the company's business objectives and the various government agency rules and regulations. Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. Qualifications An associate degree in engineering or a related field, a technical degree, or equivalent work experience. (Typically two years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a degree.) One or more years of related experience in gas pipeline design, engineering, operations or construction. A strong analytical ability, good interpersonal and human relation skills. Knowledge of records management systems. A very high attention to detail, with the ability to extract small details from large amounts of information. Demonstrate good judgment in problem solving and decision-making, with ability to take action or commit oneself appropriately. Demonstrated knowledge in design, engineering and operations related, codes, standards and procedures, i.e. (DOT, FERC, OSHA, etc.). Good oral and written communication skills. Excellent PC skills, including familiarity with Windows environment, must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work with changing priorities and exacting deadlines. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation.
