RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Miami, FL that is seeking a Senior Engineer - VMware Horizon.

Responsibilities:
* The Senior Engineer will build, deploy and configure VMware Guests Strong VMware Horizon, Citrix and AWS workspace
* Perform PowerShell scripting in VMware vSphere
* Manage and configure vSphere resources to support Horizon infrastructure, Citrix and AWS
* Create and provision AppStack
* Manage and coordinate projects effectively, including scoping, planning, and stakeholder communication
* The Senior Engineer will work collaboratively with other IT teams, such as network, storage, and security teams, to ensure the smooth functioning of the VDI infrastructure
* Automate tasks, streamline operations, and troubleshoot issues

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong VMware Horizon, Citrix and AWS workspace/Appstream knowledge; Have in-depth knowledge of these platforms' architecture, installation, configuration, and administration
* Familiar with key features such as Instant Clones, App Volumes, and User Environment Management (UEM), AWS bundles, Appstream configuration, and AWS cloud platform
* Proficient in VMware vSphere; Have a solid understanding of VMware vSphere, including ESXi, vCenter Server, and other vSphere components; Able to manage and configure vSphere resources to support Horizon infrastructure, Citrix and AWS
* Expertise in Windows Server; Familiar with Windows Server administration and management; Able to troubleshoot issues related to Windows Server
* Networking skills: Good knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewall configuration; Able to troubleshoot network-related issues
* Storage skills: Familiar with storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and local storage; Able to configure and manage storage resources to support VDI infrastructure
* Scripting skills: Experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBScript, Perl, or Bash; Able to automate tasks, streamline operations, and troubleshoot issues
* Project management skills: Manage and coordinate projects effectively, including scoping, planning, and stakeholder communication
* Communication skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; Able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
* Problem-solving skills: Troubleshoot complex technical issues and find solutions quickly and efficiently
* Collaboration skills: Able to work collaboratively with other IT teams, such as network, storage, and security teams, to ensure the smooth functioning of the VDI infrastructure

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
