Transport Engineer + Cisco Background (Telecom)
*Should have routing & switching Experience
Location: Plano, TX(Day1 Onsite)

NOC Work Schedules
Shift can be Either Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat.
10-hour/ day vs. 8 for 4 days instead of 5.
Shift timing - 6am to 4pm / 12pm to 10pm
Roaster will be assigned on monthly basis.
JD:
Provide 24x7x365 monitoring of all associated Transport, Fiber, 800 Mhz radio, FAA Tower Lighting, Voice/Video Systems, Wireless and LAN/WAN assets.
Coordinates communication and restoration of Telecommunication service through the standard on-call process and support of outages.
Provides Tier1 and Tier 2 support for all Telecommunication resolutions including managing all ticket creation and escalation with leased line telecommunication carriers through to resolution.
Provides support in reviewing all Changes and submitting associated formal requests with the business units systems for outages.
Provide ServiceNow reporting and Change Control support for all internal Teams.
Responsible for monitoring, and resolution of system alerts for Transport, LAN/WAN, Site Environments, Tower Lighting, Fiber, Voice Systems, and Telecommunication Leased Lines.
Work as a single point of contact for support and participate in joint resolution for 3rd party Leased dark fiber customers including rural broadband providing trouble support, outage Communication/coordination and dispatching for any service issues.
Monitor in scope telecom devices and review all changes while managing communication to business units/dark fiber customers, and escalations /dispatches to other internal teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve the networks using the approved NERC-CIP access protocols to gear at sensitive sites.
Document and update training material found in Knowledge Base articles in ServiceNow and on the teams web site.
Attend Production Review and Change Advisory Board (CAB) meeting (Daily)
Support sustainability of security control framework and audit management processes
Requirements
10-15 years of Wireless Network experience
Must have a strong understanding of wireless network architecture, infrastructure components, Ethernet, fiber optic transport and data traffic engineering
Ability to write technical specifications for Dark and Ethernet fiber requirements for procurement Experience with pathing, hot cuts, trunking, and migrations.
Ability to manage multiple commitments simultaneously
Ability to plan for work during network maintenance windows and the willingness to perform night work
Proven ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately
Ability to delivery in fast-paced high volume environment supporting aggressive targets
Bachelors Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education
