JOB SUMMARY

The Technology Specialist I (Senior Engineer) provides engineering, operational support, and problem resolution for security systems or an environment required to support a large, complex institutional IT system. Assists the Cyber Security Director in completing projects and maintaining the hospital security environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

Demonstrates strong security tooling engineering skills, focusing on supporting continuous improvement assessments on the Mount Sinai security infrastructure platforms (Internet proxies, endpoint protection, privileged account management, etc.).

Develops and tunes WAF security technology focusing on onboarding sites, security policy testing analysis, and enforcement to secure Mount Sinai web systems to ensure legitimate production traffic flows are unaffected.

Develop and deploy data-driven integrations via scripting or programming as required to enhance the cyber security products and departmental initiatives

Facilitate and handle cyber security engineering service requests and project deliverables

Establishes cross-functional relationships with various departments and stakeholders

Exhibit ability to work well with and manage security vendor relationships.

Formulate and develop cyber security engineering processes and procedures

Build and maintain a cybersecurity engineering documentation and knowledge base platform

Aid the team's platform and knowledge cross-training efforts

Requirements

EXPERIENCE

• 7 - 10 + years of experience in IT or security engineering and support of an enterprise IT organization.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), capable of communicating with multiple levels of stakeholders.
• 3+ years of documentation experience with a focus on Technical Writing.
• 3+ years of scripting, programming, and API experience
• 3+ years' experience with Network proxies, EDR, WAF, and SIEM tools.
