About the Role:

Mindful Support Services is actively seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager to be a part of a fast-growing, collaborative team. The Revenue Cycle Manager is primarily responsible for maximizing revenue and reimbursement through the effective management and utilization of the revenue cycle. Specifically, this position is responsible for the revenue and billing processes and systems. They will drive procedures supporting insurance verification, patient account billing and collections, coding and documentation, charge entry, and account adjudication. As a key leader of the company, this manager creates and fosters a culture of inclusivity, respect, understanding, and empowerment in service to the well-being and growth of its providers, patients, and employees.

Responsibilities

Overview: Works across functional groups to help monitor and improve all aspects of revenue cycle, including, but not limited to, insurance verification, patient registration, co-pay collection, billing, coding, AR management, system design, operation metric development, payment posting and account reconciliation.

Insurance Relations: Maintains detailed knowledge of current government and third-party payor-specific regulations and ensures MSS is compliant with billing and documentation requirements.

  • Analyzes payor performance and provides analytics related to all payers.
  • Collaborates with payor key personnel on strategy and resolution of issues with goal of improving reimbursement.

Compliance: Maintains best practices that align with Compliance and HIPAA Guidelines.

  • Implements and enforces written policies and procedures that govern proper claims accounting functions.
  • Ensures Billing Department adheres to regulations, company policy, HIPAA, 42CFR, CMS, HRSA, FQHC guidelines and statutes and contract requirements, as applicable.

Process Improvement: Actively identifies, initiates, drives and participates in quality improvement initiatives related to the revenue cycle in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the organization, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards.

  • Actively drives process improvement within department with emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Reports and Projects: Prepares operational metrics and statistical reports along with completing all required projects and reports as directed.

  • Monitors key performance indicators in revenue cycle and works closely with management to improve cash flow, reduce denials, and minimize bad debt.

Technology: Works effectively with available technology tools, evaluates technology solutions and recommends changes when appropriate.

  • Works with EHR vendor on Electronic Interchange (EDI) issues and system upgrades to maximize practice management system utilization.
  • Coordinates with IT department to ensure technological controls are documented and maintained.

Provider Relations: Develops and implements provider relations training, communication and applicable seminars to support provider success.

Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in finance, business administration, healthcare administration, or related field

Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in health care and behavioral health setting

Minimum 3-5 years experience in billing, accounts receivable, CPT and ICD-10 coding

Working knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to health care operations and their impact on cross functional organizational operations

Sound knowledge of health insurance providers

Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as medical office software. Recent experience working with AdvancedMD is preferred

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Excellent customer service skills

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to carry out assigned tasks timely and efficiently

Must be a working manager who is self-motivated and detail-oriented

Excellent communication skills, both oral, written, and interpersonal

Flexible, strategic team player with infallible integrity and ethical standards

Other Qualifications

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach.

Light to moderate lifting is occasionally required (up to 25 lbs.)

Ability to sit at a desk and computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Ability to move about the facility.

Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties.

Job Type: Full-time, Fully In-Office

Base Salary: $105,000 to $125,000
