RN - Emergency Department - Wytheville VA USA

Note: Applicant must be resident of the USA or Green Card Holder.

Must-Haves

  • 1 - 2 years previous ER or ICU experience
  • Valid RN license to work in Virginia
  • BCLS, ACLS, PALS certification at hire
  • Ability to accept on-call assignments and ability to report within 30 minutes

Nice-To-Haves

  • TNCC/CEN certification preferred
  • Handle with Care certification

Job Description

Under the direction of a nursing director or other supervisor, assumes the responsibility and accountability for developing, evaluating and directing the plan of care for assigned patients. Works in collaboration with all other care disciplines to provide safe, efficient, and coordinated care for assigned patients. Utilizes the nursing process in accordance with the established policies and procedures, maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, and delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the available staff. The ER Nurse provides care for patients with various types of illness or trauma requiring emergency attention. He/she must be able to recognize, triage, assess and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.

Shift is mid-day 10 a - 10p, 11 a to 11 p or 12 p - 12 a; 7 p - 7 a

A $20,000 sign on bonus is being offered for an experienced ER RN.
