This is a full-time position at a Food Distribution Center. The workweek for this position is Monday-Friday day shift.

The Sanitation Lead will oversee a team of warehouse janitors in our large multi-temperature warehouse. The position will be an integral part of the warehouse to accurately complete written cleaning schedules and cleaning documents for daily/weekly/monthly compliance.

Hourly Rate: $27.00 per hour.

• Oversee a small sanitation team of janitors.
• Complete all documents needed in order to stay in compliance with government agencies as well as 3rd party auditors for a food storage warehouse.
• Provide support to the warehouse operations team in various sanitation/maintenance roles
• Follow all Safety Procedures, Food Safety Standards, and other policies and procedures
• Work as a team to maximize output and efficiency
• Work with Facility Superintendent on labor needs
• Ensure worker's safety, mealtime, breaks, and punctuality.
• Provide leadership and motivation to the warehouse janitor team.
• Provide feedback to Facility Superintendent & Plant Foreman about the results of projects
• Sweep and mop warehouse docks, offices, break rooms, bathrooms as needed
• Remove trash from the plant and clean trash containers
• Bail cardboard and stretch wrap for recycle program

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse/janitorial experience in a warehouse environment
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
• Physical demands include walking, standing, bending over, crouching, balancing, pushing, and pulling, repetitive use of both hands and able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate, read written, and verbal instructions. Fill out the required paperwork, verification records, etc.
• Applicants must have demonstrated ability to manage people, work well in dynamic warehouse environment, problem solve.
• Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a plus
