The role The Senior Accountant will be a vital member of the Inventory and Cost Accounting team as well as the accounting and financial reporting department. Key responsibilities - Monthly Inventory reconciliations for each production facility.
- Handle all day to day updates of inventory costs for all materials (Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Goods).
- Coordinate with the External Manufacturing team on new products, facilities, and future production runs.
- Coordinate with any third parties as necessary to troubleshoot issues.
- Developing materials and process narratives to guide new users based on their role and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain Inventory and Cost Accounting reporting at various levels.
- Aid with generating reports and data exports.
- Generate daily/weekly/monthly reporting on key areas as outlined by management.
- Complete Quarterly Inventory Counts.
- Prepare month-end Inventory and COGS journal entries.
Key skills and experience required - Bachelors degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- CPA / MBA preferred.
- 3+ years of Inventory/Cost Accounting experience and/or related experience.
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
- NetSuite Experience is a plus.
- Experience at a CPG or Food/Beverage Company a plus.
- Excellent Microsoft excel skills.
- Ability to think cross-functionality, join data from various sources, and develop solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be detail-oriented while working efficiently.
- Excellent collaborator and relationship builder; internal and external.
- Excellent planning, root cause analysis/problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Has a demonstrated passion that aligns with the core values of the Company.
- This position is on-site at the headquarters in Louisville, KY.
