I. JOB FUNCTION SUMMARY
Coordinate procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment and supplies
II. JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate all activities related to procurement of commodity
- Analyze the requirement of commodity, including specifications, preferred
Supplier and date
- Solicit and evaluate proposals
- Investigate/Interview potential suppliers
- Negotiate lowest possible cost balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs
- Assure that the commodity is delivered on time, at negotiated price and meets quality standards
- Maintains timely control of orders, amendments and shipping notices
- Confers with suppliers concerning late delivers and/or quality issues
Requirements
IV. Preferred Qualifications (Experience, Education or Certification)
A. Two or Four year degree
B. One -two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience
C. Experience in dealing with external business relationships
D. Competencies in planning, customer service, negotiations and analytics
E. Working knowledge of ERP system and BPCS softwar
