Athena is looking for a Senior Copywriter to join our Creative Agency. We are looking for someone who can work on multiple creative projects simultaneously, and who is proficient in all major design and presentation platforms. We are looking for someone who is hungry to show off their design and branding talents, who is not afraid of hard work, who is eager to learn and grow and be a part of a high-performance team, who is professional in demeanor and who desires to be client-facing. We work in a spirited, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment and were looking for someone who can hit the ground running and thrive in this setting.

The design team produces thoughtful and elevated creative designs. We create compelling graphics for different mediums that include but are not limited to the corporate website, branding, reports and fact sheets, press materials, presentations, and social media assets. Our work has a digital focus, but print projects are a part of the mix.

This role is versatile and collaborates with Art Directors and Senior Designers. We operate in a fast pace, hands-on environment and thrive on collaboration.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate has the following:

• Writes compelling, relevant campaign messages considering different platforms and media
• Ideates and executes branded campaigns across different touchpoints (film & video, social media, digital)
• Has an energetic and optimistic attitude and cares about creating powerful work
• Has a self-motivated, proactive, strategic mentality
• Composes engaging narratives and scripts that tell stories through both voice-over and supers
• Possesses ability to distill complex concepts into digestible narratives
• Collaborates with Art Directors and Designers to construct ideas to ensure that both the copy and the visuals are in perfect synch, to make the concept as powerful, vivid, and compelling as possible
• Collaborate with creative team members to determine concept, brand, and copy directions
• Ensure copy tone and style are consistent with brand and style guidelines
• Interact with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics
• Translate complex and ambiguous concepts into simple and effective messages
• Contribute to business development efforts, supporting proposal and content creation
• Conduct research and author reports based on client needs

The skills and experience you should have:

• 5+ years experience
• Campaign and social experience
• Previous agency experience is ideal
• Experience in Social Purpose and/or Innovation/Tech storytelling and brand work
• Experience working as part of an Art Director / Copywriter team
• Demonstrated attention to detail, personal organization, and interpersonal skills
• Solid organization and time management skills
• Desire to work in a fast paced, innovative, and collaborative environment
  

Its a plus if you have:

• Bachelors degree
• Masters degree or equivalent
