Summary:

As a member of the product realization team, the Senior Engineering Technician plays a key role in bringing the next generation of products through the release process to a successful manufacturing launch. This position will place particular emphasis on maximizing yields and ensuring trouble free production during the life of the product. The Senior Engineering Technician will support development of assets complimentary to design insertion into new customer applications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist engineers in developing documentation for new products.
  • Perform qualification/design validation testing on new products; work with engineers to assist with validation prior to product being released into production.
  • Liaise between the production and engineering departments throughout the production life cycle to ensure compliance to electrical specification.
  • Assemble and maintain product test fixtures as well as test circuits.
  • Maintain lab equipment and supplies; oversee all aspects of test fixtures and burn-in assets, including but not limited to, equipment: maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting, optimization, inventory, asset organization, etc.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Experience with AutoCAD a plus, but not required.
  • Associate degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent, required.
  • Prior experience in a microelectronic manufacturing environment required.
  • At least 5 years experience with RF component products required.
  • Experience with RF small signal and large signal component testing including insertion loss, VSWR, IP3, P1dB, noise figure and switching speed preferred.
  • Experience with RF network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, noise figure meters as well as power meters preferred.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent, required.
  • Prior experience in a microelectronic manufacturing environment required.
  • At least 5 years experience with RF component products required.
  • Experience with RF small signal and large signal component testing including insertion loss, VSWR, IP3, P1dB, noise figure and switching speed preferred.
  • Experience with RF network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, noise figure meters as well as power meters preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • This is an on-site position. Must be available to work at the 900 Mount Laurel Circle, Shirley, MA location (remote/teleworking/telecommuting or hybrid work arrangements are unavailable and relocation assistance is unavailable.)
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States (employment visa sponsorship is not available.)
