Senior Director of Operations

Life Safety Enterprises Inc is a fast-growing Regulatory Compliance companyheadquartered in Cleveland Ohio. LSE was founded on the values of Passion, Integrity, Leadership and Dedication to Excellence. As we continue to grow, a new position is available for a Senior Director of Operations to join our Executive Management team. This professional will oversee the Ohio and Regional Operations Divisions.

Theprimary responsibility of theSenior Director of Operations will be overseeing the daily business functions of the Life Safety Enterprises Inc Operations Divisions, assisting with the strategic growth development of the company. This includes direct management overseeing the Ohio Operations Division and the Regional Operations Director who is responsible for the Remote Lead Field Technicians and Field Technicians.

Responsibility will include assisting the President/CEO with the strategic Operations Plan and Implementation for continued growth of LSE. Responsible for the leadership and administration of all LSE Company Operations. Activities are to be conducted in a manner that presents a professional image to employees, current customers, potential clients, and industry trade professionals. Focus should always remain on the growth and profitability of the company based on LSE Policies and Procedures while providing Inspection, Testing and Documentation for all Operations services provided.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in strategic and long-term Operations Plan of LSE services. Develop and execute tactical Operations Plans that affect operation processes, personnel, and financial resources to help build the company.
  • Assist the President/CEO to achieve financial objectives for Operations projects as quoted.
  • Provide leadership to all employees in the Operations Division. To develop and assist the Ohio and Regional Operations Directors and Operations staff to grow in a continued successful role within LSE.
  • Create, implement, and continuously improving the Operations Division by updating or creating processes and best practices. Assist in building/developing a consistent employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Maintain staff by assisting in recruiting, selecting, and training new and existing employees; encourage the development of personal growth opportunities for employees; empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals; delegate responsibility and expect employee accountability.
  • Ensures activities performed within Operations Divisions are in accordance with LSE business objectives.
  • Review and further develop staff training programs to increase knowledge and credentials for employees within the LSE Operations Division.
  • A primary focus will be placed on maintaining current compliance in the Life Safety industry. This includes continuous knowledge of current Life Safety Code, Building code, Joint Commission, CMS, etc. standards and compliance requirements.
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency of overall business operations, organizational and product needs and department performance by gathering and assessing data to be used in developing operations standards for the Field Technicians.
  • Build strong business relationships with current customers, potential clients and vendors, with the goal of expansion of business opportunities for LSE. Assist Client Relations Division in maintaining current customer business. Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyze and resolve quality and customer service problems; identify trends; recommend system and process improvements.
  • Work closely with the LSE Executive and Management teams to further the professional growth of the employees in solid and professional business decisions, assist with developing new business within the areas of LSE Scope of Services present and future.
  • To assist in performing seminars, training programs and presentations as required to strengthen the professionalism and leadership focus for Business opportunities within the Fire and Life Safety Industry.
  • Acting as liaison between divisions / departments, working closely with the LSE Executives, Directors and Managers.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the software programs used at LSE for conducting inspection and remediation services, as well as time tracking software.
  • Develop, manage, support, participate in additional projects, reporting and meetings.
  • Must be able to travel within the United States.
  • Continue to build strong leadership skills with co-workers, customers, and employees.
  • Flexibility on the job and the ability to work under multiple, daily deadlines.
  • Further develop exceptional oral and written communication skills. This includes the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from outside groups including management, colleagues, and customers.
  • Maintain confidentially of all information.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business information, trade journals, technical and procedural documents; ability to write reports, and business correspondence.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and independent decision-making.
  • To become further educated as an expert in the field of Fire Safety and Life Safety Code. This includes identifying areas of research needed, local and regional competition, new areas of opportunity and development of business strategies and implementation for continued growth.
  • Attend meetings/classes/seminars to further develop industry knowledge & management skills.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree required / Advanced degree preferred.
  • Certification in Fire and Life Safety preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years preferred in the field of Fire and Life Safety Facilities Management
  • Experience in healthcare a plus.
  • Experience in NFPA and Regulatory Compliance strongly preferred.
  • Experience overseeing Facilities Management and Operations preferred.
  • Experience with understanding and interpreting Life Safety Code, Regulatory Compliance Requirements and Life Safety Drawings.
