Senior HR Operations Manager

EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 65,000 of people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Senior HR Operations Manager to work full time for in it's Human Resources department.

The Senior HR Operations Manager is an exempt position paying $75,000-80,000 annually. The office is located in Garden City, NY and role reports to Chief Human Resources Officer. This a hybrid schedule working 3 days in office and 2 days remote, Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM.

Primary Purpose of Job:

1. Oversee all aspects of HR operations including paid time off, benefits, payroll, policy administration, leave management, HRIS database and recordkeeping.

2. Improve quality of benefits plans to enhance employee satisfaction while containing costs.

3. Improve procedures to enhance efficiency and improve user-friendliness of interacting with HR.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

I. Benefits

Manage and administer agencys retirement 401(k) plan and Health & Welfare Benefits.

Recommends improvements and enhancements to benefits programs to management, survey staff, consult

with brokers, and review trends and developments in benefits offered by other organizations.

Manage benefits administration including processing and approving benefits changes, status changes,

qualified life events and terminations.

Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation;

obtaining qualified opinions; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

Prepares informational and compliance-based reports.

Maintains benefit records by developing recordkeeping systems; initiating new-hire benefits; recording changes.

Resolves employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures.

Expedites delivery of benefits and resolution of benefits related issues by establishing and maintaining

working relationships with benefit providers.

Troubleshoot, analyze, and correct benefit issues

Coordinate and manage annual Open Enrollment and benefit education meetings.

Manage annual benefit plan and insurance renewal

Manage and track employee accident and incidents workers compensation

Coordinates benefit audits

Oversees reconciliation of benefits accounts and reviews/approves billing statements. Interface with

Insurance carriers regarding the resolution of billing issues.

II. HR Operations

Project manage new initiatives related to HR operations,

Oversee and manage the agencys Property & Casualty, Disability and Workers Compensation insurance.

Manage Leave of Absence administration (FMLA, DBL, PFL, Military)

Direct and manage the quality and consistency of HRIS database information

Lead weekly HR Operations team meetings

Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Creates and maintains safety plan and training; Coordinates safety committee meetings

III. Other

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing

professional publications; establishing personal networks.

Deliver finance bank deposits according to posted schedule (approximately once per quarter).

Supervise the HR Coordinator.

Assists with special projects.

Performs any related duties as specified by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

1. Minimum of four years experience in employee benefits required.

2. Non-profit experience preferred.

3. Must be proficient in computer applications and spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar,

email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.

4. Extensive knowledge of HRIS.

5. Excellent communication, verbal and written, and organizational skills.

6. Must be able to multi-task responsibilities.

7. Excellent project management and time management skills.
