Our client is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and professional Senior Tax associate to join our team! Our tax work is more complex than most firms, so excellent technical skills with experience preparing tax returns and performing complex tax research are essential.
We would like a professional with the ability to reach beyond current tax knowledge and identify areas to grow and develop as a professional. The successful candidate will be dealing with heavy detail work and client interaction for S Corp, C Corp & Partnerships. There will be opportunities to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships as well as mentor and teach other tax professionals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assisting in the review of returns prepared by junior accountants
2. Prepare corporate, partnership, and personal tax returns
3. Prepare tax plans for new & existing clients utilizing customized tax strategies using our advanced tax planning software
4. Helping clients maximize tax savings by building relationships with them and using proactive tax strategies
5. Assist clients with the implementation of tax & wealth-building strategies
6. Preparation and filing of quarterly estimated tax payments
7. Review the FS and propose AJE necessary for tax
Requirements
Qualifications:
1. Full-Time Senior Tax Accountant (not a contractor)
2. Have at least 3+ of tax preparation experience
3. CPA or EA preferred but NOT required, Experience says it all
4. Bachelors or Masters' Degree in Accounting or Tax
5. Must have technical knowledge but also communicate well with clients and provide firm owner updates on status.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills (if you do not have this, do not apply)
7. Ability to work independently
