About the Role

The Senior Sales Strategy & Planning Manager will lead the development and implementation of go-to-market strategies to achieve sales volumes, sales fundamentals, and shared objectives for all of our brands. You will be responsible for translating marketing and financial objectives into trade promotion programs and initiatives and provide sales with tools required to achieve their goals. This is a highly collaborative role ensuring that were delivering items to our customers that meet consumer needs and desires, that these items have the right pricing and marketing support that is attractive and effective, and generating the awareness and visibility needed to contribute to category and brand growth.

Location: This is a Denver based position with a hybrid working schedule.

What Youll Do

  • Collaborate with customer teams participating in growth-oriented annual business planning and attends customer meetings as required.
  • Develop trade investment strategies to drive maximum achievement of sales, profit and ROI for the individual's portfolio of product.
  • Work with marketing to ensure that promotional funds as well as brand strategies and objectives are integrated into the field release and are consistent across business units.
  • Work closely with finance on trade investment and management to achieve company objectives.
  • Work closely with marketing to develop and execute plans consistent with long-range strategic goals.
  • Manage the necessary tactical revisions to plan to ensure that business objectives are met.
  • Work closely with demand planning team as voice of sales for S&OP process.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external teams.

Requirements

What Were Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive sales/strategy experience in the CPG industry
  • Bachelors degree or MBA in Business, Management, Sales or a related field.
  • Customer/Sales facing experience
  • Experience negotiating and influencing, through communication, large groups or high-level constituents/representatives of an organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in Trade Management, Channel Strategy, Forecasting and Planning
  • Fluent in understanding Consumption Data from IRI, Nielsen and other sources such as Spins
  • Strong story telling skills utilizing syndicated data (IRI or Nielsen)
  • Performance driven with desire to take on a high level of responsibility and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in managing customers, vendors and external agencies.
  • Proven success at fostering teamwork and team development.
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skill with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office - Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint.

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is 120,000-145,000/year. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus and long-term incentive. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
