We are seeking a hands-on, highly motivated, technical, self-driven QA Lead to join our Technology team to oversee our testing efforts, creating test plans, turning those plans into automation, and tracking progress to make sure we maintain a high-quality product. You will work closely with stakeholders to help them understand the full tech stack we use, work alongside the developers to solve a wide range of testing and automation challenges, and develop plans and procedures with a focus on our high-quality, zero-defect values. This position will report to Evan Kaplan, with engagement across the organization while you build out automation and train the team on QA best practices. As a hands-on QA Lead, you will: Collaborate to define and drive a vision for quality control, testing, and automation initiatives Identify opportunities for adopting new technologies and patterns to drive excellence Design and develop robust, performant, and extensible test plans and automation Cultivate a deep understanding of products and use cases to deliver creative and thoughtful solutions and prevent any bugs from getting to production Collaborate closely across the organization to build and refine processes to ensure efficient growth into the future Help continue to build a world-class Technology team to enable this effort, shaping both technical direction and team composition as we scale Help attract, interview, and onboard your future team members during this exciting time of growth You will be successful in this role if you have: Six (6) years or more of QA automation experience (eg. SDET) High level of experience with different testing patterns and test types such as unit testing, integration testing, smoke tests, and black-box testing Direct experience with Playwright as well as other testing automation and ancillary tools such Asana or Jira, Cypress, Jest, CircleCI, feature flags, etc. A passion for supporting maintainable, readable, stable, secure, and scalable code and tests Strong analytical, team management, project leadership, and communication skills Developed and executed detailed, thoroughly thought-out testing plans Interest in progressive architecture patterns, including serverless, microservices, event-driven applications, and distributed systems Positive attitude, sense of humor, and creativity Have worked with our tech stack of Node.js, React, AWS, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and Serverless Why Join Chronograph?We value creativity, open communication, cutting edge technology, striving for excellence in all things and having fun along the way.
