What are we looking for?

BetterHelp is changing the way it tests its software. Were looking for the pioneers who will form our new Software Quality Assurance team. You will be part of an agile software development team with the responsibility to define and perform the tests necessary to ensure that our products meet the high standards we set for quality. You will have the opportunity to determine the best strategy for testing the features that fall into your responsibilities and wont just be executing tests that someone else creates.

What will you do?

Determine the best test strategy for assigned areas of test, whether it be manual or automated testing
Write clear and concise test plans, test cases and bug reports
Write scalable, reliable automated tests
Collaborate closely with members of development and product management
Research test tools, methodologies, and trends in order to upgrade our existing practices and processes

What will you NOT do?

You will NOT worry about "runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". We have the startup DNA but we're fully backed and funded, all the way to success.
You will NOT be confined to your "job". You will get involved in product, marketing, business strategy, and almost everything we do.

Can I work remotely?

Yes. We operate in Pacific Time and candidates in any time zone are welcome to apply. We also ask our employees to travel to our Mountain View, CA office up to six times per year to collaborate in person in order to build better working relationships and experience our in-office culture. Travel expenses will be covered and reasonable accommodations will be made for those under unique circumstances who cannot travel.

Requirements

Prior experience as a QA Engineer or SDET
Experience with one or more automation tool such as Selenium or Cypress
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Previous experience working in an agile development environment preferred
Ability to work with minimal direction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Passionate about quality and continuous improvement
Prior experience with any of the following is a bonus: performance, stress or load testing; mobile testing; accessibility testing
Comfortable with SQL and relational databases
Get-things-done attitude with eagerness to build something great
Ability to legally work in the US and travel to our Mountain View, California offices up to six times per year.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000-$135,000. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus, RSUs, and the extensive benefits listed here (subject to eligibility requirements): Teladoc Health Benefits 2023(link removed) Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
