About the Role:

The Software Marketing Manager is responsible for all marketing strategy, marketing activities, and brand positioning for inMusic software brands. The Software Marketing Manager will identify changes in the marketing environment and evaluates, adjusts, or redrafts the brands marketing plan and philosophy accordingly.

What You'll Do:

  • Create, manage, coordinate and execute marketing strategies and implement tactical plans to meet and exceed company expectations for the brand(s)
  • Analyze, evaluate, plan and execute on existing and future marketing activities and strategies
  • In partnership with leadership, develop benchmark and KPI criteria to measure brand marketing campaigns and implement improvements to campaigns where necessary
  • Perform market research and analysis to determine competitiveness and positioning; especially supporting product development teams to identify target market data, insight, and new concepts for the product development process
  • Work closely with Category Management, Software Product Development, and others to create demand and recognition for the brands and its products
  • Manage the strategy and development process of creative content for the brands with internal and external creative marketing teams
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional marketing groups on all aspects of brand marketing and communication, including email, website, paid media, PR, e-commerce, partner relationships, and artist relations
  • Develop go-to-market and product launch marketing strategies, execution plans and campaigns to deliver revenue and demand forecasts and plans
  • Monitor and respond to users on social media channels and forums on behalf of the brands
  • Project management for product launches and website updates

Requirements

  • 5 years of progressive brand marketing experience
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in marketing or business focus. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience in Social Media marketing preferred
  • Excellent track record for meeting targets and objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven analytical, planning, and budgeting skills
  • Proven working experience in software brand or product marketing
  • Demonstrable experience with major social media platforms, proven experience in Social Media Marketing is a plus
  • Experience working in Musical Instrument (MI) or Media software industries is a plus
  • Working with internal and external creative agencies preferred
  • Has a passion and intellectual curiosity for all things social, mobile, and digital emerging technologies
