Role Overview

Good Sports is looking for a new teammate who is willing to take on challenges and join our Program Team as a Sr. Program Manager. This person will manage key partner objectives and initiatives as they relate to Good Sports community equipment donation strategy.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • The Sr. Manager will work with the Program Team to ensure that community and partnership goals are met.
  • The ideal candidate will be an adept Project Manager who will:
    • Develop project plans to strategically manage multiple high-profile, projects with co-occurring and rigorous timelines, monitor progress, set deadlines, and solve issues that arise
    • Track partner budgets, and maintain information for reporting to measure impact
    • Establish productive, and professional relationships with key personnel associated with partners (community and corporate/foundation)
    • Steward partners by proactively assessing and validating their needs. Produce high-quality deliverables, and creatively address issues relative to expectations ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
    • Have responsibility for the successful execution and facilitation of donation and activation events, both in and outside of Massachusetts
  • They will meet assigned targets for equipment distribution and closely track related metrics to goals on a regular and ongoing basis
  • Co-Manage community outreach prospecting & stewardship initiatives
  • Regularly collaborate with colleagues, directors, and senior leadership across the organization to achieve team and organizational goals
  • Travel is required for the execution of this role. Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings as necessary.
  • Managers may on occasion be asked to assist with certain warehouse tasks such as prepping equipment for donation. Additionally, all staff are expected to assist with the year-end inventory audit.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director, Program

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

  • Passionate about the mission of Good Sports
  • An Undergraduate Degree with a minimum of 3 years of robust post-graduate project management experience in a leading role for a corporate organization (non-profit is a plus). A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to take ownership and quickly resolve and troubleshoot issues under pressure. This person should have a talent for overseeing work plans and delegation.
  • Self-initiated with the foresight to anticipate needs weeks and months in advance.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and oral presentation skills to represent Good Sports and its mission to a variety of internal leadership and external constituents. Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people.
  • Event planning and event management experience strongly desired
  • Aptitude for fostering positive relationships and internally influencing teams. While this Manager may not immediately have direct reports, they will need to be a natural leader who can provide consistent project oversight.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (Outlook Email, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel) with the ability to quickly learn new technology. Knowledge of CRM/ERP platforms is valuable. Good Sports uses NetSuite.
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19

Reporting Relationship and Location

The Sr. Manager will report to the Director, Program. This position is Braintree, MA based and is not remote. All Good Sports general office employees are expected to report to the Braintree Facility 4 days/week, with the option to work remotely from a home office for 1 designated day/week.
